Genkotsu Ramen - Runcorn Plaza | 258 Warrigal Road, Runcorn QLD 4113

One of the better japanese ramen I've tried in Brisbane - looks like Taro's Ramen finally has a worthy opponent.

Furnished like a traditional japanese ramen shop, the ramen here tastes as authentic as it looks. Unfortunately, it is also quite small and cozy like the ramen shops found in Japan alleyways.

Basically this is a picture of the whole store.

With rich flavourful broth and charisiu (delicious tender pork slices) that melts in your mouth, the Miso Tonkotsu Ramen ($10) created a magical experience. The ramen was perfectly cooked with an excellent texture. The best part was the soft boiled egg - the white was firm while the yolk was deliciously gooey yet creamy - sensational. The yolk could have been a little runnier and the soy sauce in the broth slightly overpowered the miso, but overall it was still thoroughly enjoyable.
