Cowch Bar - 2/179 Grey Street, South Brisbane QLD 4101

If you're going to be a couch potato, why not head over to the Cowch?

At least it's got cool vibes and is funkier than your normal couch with its quirky udder lights.

And it's got a large comfortable couch for you to lie on.

Not to mention a breakfast/lunch/dinner menu which includes churros, waffles, pizza as well as a wide array of desserts: http://www.cowch.com.au/cowch-menu.pdf

As soon as I walked in, I was mesmerised by the Naked Pops.

There's 6 flavours to choose from, including chocolate, peanut butter, vanilla, coffee, mint, and pomegranate. It's dipped in rich milk/dark/white chocolate and then sprinkled with your choice of toppings. Toppings include pistachio, flake, almonds, pearls, crumble, tim tams, brownie, various fruits and seriously whatever you can think of. Tastes like a magnum - but better because you get to personalise your own flavours.

I got the Peanut Butter Naked Pop ($9) dipped in dark chocolate coating with strawberries, soft mango mochi, and crunchy macadamia crumble. Smooth creamy ice-cream with a subtle peanut butter aftertaste goes so well with perfectly tempered dark chocolate - but at the end of the day, it's just a magnum. Sadly, the strawberries weren't too fresh and I basically left it untouched.

The Udder Puffs ($14.50), however, was absolutely mind blowing. Freshly baked puffs with crispy choux pastry, served with Frozen Yoghurt or Ice-cream, drizzled with chocolate and a topping of your choice inside each puff. It's really good value for money because I was feeling very satisfied after only 1 puff so it's great for sharing.

In this instance, I chose conservative ice-cream flavours, but some of the flavours were quite innovative: Sultana & Cinnamon, Cranberry & Chocolate Chip, Turkish Delight, Roasted Almond & Goji Berries, Pineapple, Basil & Mint - the list goes on but there's new flavours every month.

Udder Puffs - with Rum & Raisin, Cookies & Cream, and Peanut Butter ($14.5)

Verdict
Cowch is the perfect place to couch, with delicious desserts and even a fire place to warm you up during the cold winter! While the Naked Pop was enjoyable, it's only a glorified magnum so I'm not sure if I will get it again. But trust me, the Udder Puffs are definitely worth a try!
